Quebec: visiting La Malbaie.

We made a spontaneous trip to La Malbaie from Quebec City and absolutely fell in love with this cute little town on the water.

I’d recommend this whether it’s planning an individual trip up to this part of Quebec, or if you simply want a weekend trip from Montreal (6hr drive or so) or Quebec City (3hr drive).

We had a great time staying at the Auberge Hostel, walked out to the pier during the sunset, ate a yummy traditional dinner at Bistro Local 245, explored the gorgeous grounds of the Malbaie Casino and Hotel, and ate breakfast at the bakery in town.

1st off, I swear we saw killers whale fins in the water.

2nd, the food is the most traditional Quebec food I had my entire trip.
